Cobalt Blue Bowl With Opaque White Body Wrap Stripes
Click on the Shop on Etsy button to visit my shop there. You will see all of my available stock.
This beautiful bowl is a unique one-of-a-kind hand blown transparent Cobalt blue bowl with a body wrap made of opaque white glass. I hand blew this bowl myself. I actually love this color, Cobalt blue, and think it looks very rich, indeed. Its dimensions are: 4″ height; 2″ wide at the mouth; 3.5″ wide at the base. Please be aware that any extraneous marks in the pictures (white or otherwise) could be due to light reflections, shadows, or dust particles and may NOT be a part of the glass itself. Free shipping – No charge. PLEASE NOTE. The bright white blotch in the upper right hand corner of the bowl in each picture is a light reflection and not a flaw with the bowl itself.

I create unique hand-blown glass vessels and artwork from molten glass and want to share them with you! In 2009, after having had obtained both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in molecular biology and after having worked in the field (with DNA) for 18+ years, I decided to take up glass blowing.
I was attracted to the art of glass blowing and to the beautifully colored things that one could make. I started taking classes and private lessons with private instructors and eventually was able to create glass vessels such as bowls, vases, and cups in various colors and designs as well as beautiful glass art starting from molten glass that is kept at 2100 degrees F. As a result, I amassed a fairly large collection of over 180 pieces of glass.
So I decided to share them with the public by selling them. I opened up “Elliott Glass Art” which is an online business. I have a personal web site that you are welcome to visit, a Facebook page and this Etsy shop that I have created.
So as not to totally forget my previous career in molecular biology, I will be undertaking an effort to construct the DNA molecule in glass, and specifically a gene that I sequenced in my previous career. Of course, I will continue to make vessels of bigger and more elaborate quality, and I want very much, to share them all with you.
