“Kentucky 1” by Rose Hughes Quilt Artist

Rose Hughes is a quilt artist who developed a technique she calls Fast Piece Applique. She taught workshops for years and wrote four books about her technique. Rose’s use of fabrics and embellishments are truly exquisite! She often mixes silks with velvet and other fabrics, causing varied lighting effects and textures. Small beads and couched yarn add even another layer of interest. “Kentucky 1” is joyful, welcoming and meandering both on land and in the skies.
