Hoodoo Earrings of Gold Bonded Torch Shimmered Copper and Turquoise
I have been making jewelry under my Deerwoman Designs label for more than 30 years. I accept special orders and can make similar pieces to past ones if I have beads in stock that might work. This piece on Artizan Made may no longer be available. Click on the Shop on Etsy button to see what is in stock now.
Description
French wire earrings with 1 1/2″ dangle. Solid copper earwires, discs, chain and beads have been coated with 24K gold and then torched to produce this subtle variation in hues. Here the copper predominates, touches of reddish purple, gold and silvery tones. The circles are textured flat rings. Connected with curb chain and eye pins.
I called these hoodoo earrings because they bring to mind the southwest deserts where rock formations called hoodoos, shaped like pillars with large stone caps are found, as well as wonderful turquoise.
Large and small nuggets of stabilized turquoise. No imitation turquoise here. Tiny glass seed bead spacers
