Made in the USA natural hardwoods, this chess board is finished with a simple, non-toxic mineral oil finish. The squares are comprised of solid maple and walnut from the American midwest, while the frame is a warm red padauk wood from Africa. The wood colors are natural, enhanced only by the mineral oil finish. Measures 12.75″ x 12.75″ and includes felt tabs on the bottom. As a bonus, the wood chessboard includes playing pieces for both chess and checkers. Imported from India, the chessmen are wooden with a semi-gloss finish
