Sophisticated greys and fun splashes of colour – this warm, cosy lap throw is perfect for snuggling under while you lose yourself in a book, a movie or a deep conversation.
Inspired by urban graffiti, this unusual design is part of my Urban Colour collection. I wanted to capture the uninhibited energy of spray paint on concrete, so I chose a palette of greys and contrasted these with bright colours in a lively, dynamic pattern.
I wove it on my 8-shaft countermarche loom, finished it with a twisted fringe and then fulled it at my kitchen table to produce a soft, lightly felted surface. Finally, I brushed it to raise the nap, which helps to trap warmth and adds to that cuddly feeling.

To care for your lambswool throw, you should either have it dry cleaned or wash it by hand using a gentle soap, lay it flat to dry and then press with a cool iron.
