Artizan Made Membership

Artizan Made Membership fees paid here.
Artizan Made uses a collective model in order to pool resources which can be used for marketing, having this web presence and build the community that we have. Our main goal is to create a space where handmade techniques shine in all their glory and to promote our shop members through social media sites and other venues. A secondary goal is fulfilled as members get to know each other, share information and help each other problem solve this increasingly complex world of the internet. Participation is NOT required, but those who participate do reap benefits by having a supportive community.
There is a one-time membership fee to join Artizan Made and you pay for that on this page. Then, there is a monthly fee of $12.50/month which helps contribute to our overhead. You pay for that here: Monthly Fees
Selling in the Market is optional and has a separate fee which is paid separately. The Market Fee is $25/year for 50 listings. We do not take a commission except for a 2.9% processing fee if you use our cart. You can choose to sell through Artizan or link to your site or list Made To Order items. We’ll walk you through it once your profile is up on the site.
What you get with Membership:
- A profile page where you tell your story and share your links. See them here.
- Promotions on our Facebook page.
- Features in our blog.
- Events listings.
- Access to our Pinterest page.
- Ability to sell or link through our Market.
- A supportive community.
Application
Our members are vetted in based on the quality of their products, their professionalism and presentation, along with our own aesthetic guidelines which are purely subjective. You should be able to tell if what you do is a fit by looking at our current mix. We like to see work that shows the handmade process, that has a specific signature of style, whether it is the artist’s or a cultural one, and we especially want to support work that has a positive environmental impact (upcycling, organic, green products, etc.). Most of our studio artists are mid-career people who have been working in their field for a couple of decades, although we will accept emerging artists who show talent, commitment and productivity. We also accept ethical traders who work with vintage cultural products and with fair trade groups.
To apply, send your links and a paragraph about who you are, what you do, and why you would like to join us.
Send to rayela @ comcast.net (remove spaces).
We want members who are in for the long haul. It is labor intensive to get each person set up and takes time for our audience to start zooming into new work.
