$30.00

000

A field of purple daisy flowers abound on a background of olive green on my hand thrown red earthenware clay ceramic pottery mug. The mug holds ~12 ounces of your favorite beverage, and puts a smile on your face in the morning.

What a fun and functional Valentine’s gift for your sweetie!

Inside the creamy white interior, one more purple daisy sets at the bottom of the mug.

SIZE 4 1/8″ x 3 3/8″ (11 cm x 8.5 cm) This medium sized mug holds approximately 14 ounces, has a comfortable handle and a golden yellow thumb rest embossed with a swirly pattern. The bottom is sanded smooth and has my name stamped on it.

Glazed with a non-toxic majolica glaze, my mug is food safe, can be put in the microwave for short warm ups and placed on the top rack of the dishwasher.

Each of my pieces are individually created with my original artistic designs and is as unique as the person holding it.
*****************************************
All pottery from Clay Lick Creek Pottery is handmade by me in Makanda, IL, using an electric wheel or a slab roller. I use a traditional red earthenware clay (unless noted) for my pottery. Bottoms are trimmed to create a foot ring and are signed and dated. After trimming and drying, I fire in the kiln to cone 04 to bisque it. Afterwards, I dip the pottery into homemade majolica glaze, which is the opaque white background glaze, then I use a brush to paint ceramic colorants onto the raw glaze surface. Then back into the kiln again to cone 05 to seal the glaze surface. Pieces can be used in the microwave for quick warm ups (unless noted) and top rack of the dishwasher (unless noted). All orders ship USPS Priority (2-3 business days) or Parcel Post (2-9 business days) — and I usually ship same day or next business day.

I’m open to custom orders. For more details, check out my Shop Policies link or Convo me for more information.

If this is a gift and you’d like me to include a card with the package, let me know the wording in the notes to seller at check out.

Cheers!
Karen

Karen Fiorino of Clay Lick Creek Pottery

Karen Fiorino of Clay Lick Creek Pottery – Makanda, Illinois.

Karen Fiorino lives in Southern Illinois, USA, where there are wonderful forested areas. She named her business, Clay Lick Creek Pottery, after a creek that flows through her property. Her colorful majolica bowl designs are inspired by nature: fruits and flowers, bumble bees, wild animals and the cats, dogs and chickens who live with her. Karen’s work is functional, intended to brighten life in the home and to bring a smile, especially from the delightful animals that inhabit her forest of clay. The snot nosed yarn bowls will certainly inspire a guffaw or two, a definite ice breaker at your next knitting meet-up! Visit her shop on Etsy for all of her work: Shop on Etsy

The smaller bowls range in price from $20-$30 USD, while larger bowls and the yarn bowl can go up to around $80 USD. Karen sells from her shop on Etsy and ships worldwide. The bowls are lead free, dishwasher and microwave safe.
