Belgian Linen Crossback Apron
When I designed this apron, I had a vision of the person I wanted to be while wearing it. Endless meadows, salty marsh air, a basket of wildflowers, romping dogs at my side. I needed a new wardrobe for my imaginary self… I make this apron with the finest Belgian linen I can find. Its luxurious weight and fine hand will become even more beautiful with use and time. Enjoy it in the studio, the garden, or as a new timeless staple to your wardrobe. I put my linen through two wash and dry cycles before presenting it to you so you have a true sense of its traits and size. My linen is a naturally occurring color highlighting its best qualities. Materials: Belgian long staple linen. Heavy 9 oz. weight. Measurements: One size fits many. Please email me if you need something customized. Actual measurements for the body are about 29.5″ long x 40″ wide. The straps are 18″ long. The two pockets combined measure about 14″ x 7.5″. Care: Machine wash cold. Machine to damp dry or line dry. Steam iron if needed. Most importantly, wear it and enjoy it! Each apron is made to order just for you. I am a Maker. Textiles and textures fascinate me. Relics from the past take hold of my imagination and frequently influence my work. I love to design with vintage and recycled materials in my rug hooking, knitting, and folk art assemblages. I also love to collaborate with my husband . He’s first to my rescue when my artistic vision outshines my skill set and his own artistic eye frequently defines our creative path.
