Lina Sofía and her aunt Lavinia live in Colombia, South America. Both love searching for beautiful fabrics and beads to transform them into unique accessories. They invest a lot of time on each piece because of the different materials and textures they use. They convert fabrics, ribbons and laces into unique art pieces and love the concept of one piece per design.
“My aunt and I have always shared the love of making handmade accessories. A few years ago, I had a necklace made of strips of fabrics but it was all blue, and I wanted one with more colors. I called my aunt and described to her the necklace, so she could make me another but with all the colors I wanted. She understood a completely different thing and she started making necklaces with rolls of fabrics, ribbons, and laces. This happened many years ago, and my aunt has improved the technique.
We love our shop because every collection is different and we are continuously innovating. We have developed our line of necklaces and earrings, but we are working on various other objects to decorate so they become pieces of art too.” -Lina Sofía of Pri Fabrics and Beads
